Clemente was significantly darker than in this image and proud of it!
Yea, this is kind of odd. On one hand, it’s cool that they are honoring Clemente in this way.
But seriously, Clemente was very dark and it was a big point of pride with him. The struggles he overcame in the United States came from the fact that he was not only a Latino, but black as well.
This kind of light-washing is very depressing to me.
